Proper use of the cuff:
- It is necessary to put on the cuff about 2 cm - 2.5 cm above the bend of the elbow, while placing a connecting tube above the cubital fossa.
- It is recommended to put on the cuff a little obliquely to ensure a uniform fit to the entire surface.
- When measuring blood pressure using a mechanical sphygmomanometer, you need to adhere to the speed of reducing air pressure in the cuff - 2-3 mm Hg per second. When pressure readings are more than 200 mmHg - the speed should be - 4-5 mmHg per second, the speed of air release from the cuff is automatically controlled by an electronic tonometer, ensuring high results.
