Instructions for use:
- Remove the product from the packaging, check its integrity;
- Carry out proper treatment of the puncture site;
- In accordance with the generally accepted technique, perform an epidural puncture. Connect the resistance loss syringe to the pavilion of the epidural needle. Perform a resistance loss test to determine if the needle has entered the epidural space. The stylet must be removed prior to contact with the ligamentum flavum. To determine the position of the needle, the doctor must also pay attention to the graduation on the needle;
- Insert the catheter into the epidural space through the epidural needle. Use the markings on the catheter when inserting the catheter. Once the catheter is in place, gently withdraw the epidural needle. When removing the needle, it is necessary to prevent accidental removal of the catheter from the epidural space;
- Connect the catheter connector, fix it;
- Attach the filter to the connector;
- Fix the catheter and filter;
- Before injecting the anesthetic solution into the catheter, make sure that it is placed correctly and that the dosage of the drug is correct. After that, inject the anesthetic. Make sure that the anesthesia has worked on the entire area that needed anesthesia;
- Remove the catheter slowly and carefully after anesthesia has ended. Do not use force or do it too quickly to prevent damage to the catheter in the patient's body and harm;
- At the end of the manipulation, dispose of the product in accordance with the established norms.
