An electrocardiogram is the most common type of diagnostics in cardiology. A special machine scans and displays the electrical activity of the heart, leaving a graphical confirmation on paper. ECG paper is the main consumable. Every day, dozens of meters of it are spent in functional diagnostics rooms.
The consumption of paper, of course, depends on the speed of paper supply. The most common is 25 mm / s, but if the diagnosis needs to be clarified, a more sensitive record is set - 100 mm / s, for long-term diagnostics, an economical mode is selected - from 2.5 to 10 mm / s.
Consumables are available in sheets, rolls or folded Z-shaped accordion. In fact, this is a continuous supply of graph paper, most often pink. Thin and thick lines are arranged vertically and horizontally. Thin ones form small squares 1 x 1 mm in size, and thick ones form large 5 x 5 mm squares. Each axis has its own vertical tasks, for example, it measures voltage.
Undoubtedly, all information is also displayed on the monitor of the device, but it does not make it possible to record data and store it. The paper remains relevant to this day, because you can use the result of the cardiogram for a long time, put it in the medical history, and compare it with subsequent or previous diagnostics.
