Chlorantoin is a disinfectant chlorine-containing preparation in the form of a white or gray powder, soluble in water, with a characteristic smell of chlorine.
Chlorantoin is intended for the preparation of solutions that can be used in various types of disinfection (including preventive), pre-sterilization cleaning (PSC), combined procedures for disinfection and pre-sterilization cleaning (PSC) of medical equipment and cleaning equipment, washing and general cleaning of premises, medical instruments made of corrosion-resistant materials, surfaces of furniture and equipment, utensils, clothing, patient care items, medical waste.
Chlorantoin and its solutions are used to carry out disinfection measures in accordance with the current sanitary-hygienic and anti-epidemic requirements. And it is recommended in any medical and preventive healthcare institutions; clinics, outpatient clinics and laboratories of various directions; in educational and health institutions; in the food, pharmacological, microbiological, cosmetic, processing industries; village household enterprises and enterprises of general catering, trade; public service establishments; on transport of various types and in everyday life (including for cleaning ventilation and air conditioning systems).
Chlorantoin is diluted in specially marked containers made of various materials, except for galvanized iron. Drinking water is used to prepare disinfectant working solutions. When preparing solutions of 0.5-2.5% concentration, it is advisable to first prepare a suspension of the agent in a small amount of water, and then bring it to the calculated volume with water. It is allowed to use hot water at a temperature of (60 ± 5) ° C for the preparation of a 0.5-2.5% solution in order to accelerate its dissolution in water. Disinfection work on various objects is carried out in such ways as irrigation, wiping, soaking, immersion, bulk falling asleep with powder.
