Lysoformin 3000 is a universal disinfectant intended for use in a variety of medical institutions (hospitals, clinics, clinics, outpatient clinics, offices). It is supplied in the form of a liquid concentrate, which must be diluted strictly according to certain proportions before application.

Proportionality is very important. Depending on the concentration of lysoformin, the disinfectant solution can be used in various areas. So, with a small amount of active agent in the washing liquid , it is used for disinfecting general-purpose surfaces - from desktops to floor and wall coverings. If you increase the concentration, then the compound can disinfect medical instruments .

Required concentration

According to the official translation of the instructions into Russian, it is sufficient to use a 1% solution of the drug for antibiotic treatment. The finished substance is applied with a rag to the areas or tools to be washed. The biocidal effect is produced within 120 minutes, during which time the drug effectively combats harmful and pathogenic microorganisms, including mold.

The consumption rate for general surface treatment is 100 ml per square meter. If it is required to disinfect sanitary equipment, this parameter increases to 150 milliliters per the same unit of measurement.

However, the instruction does not include other scenarios for the use of lysoformin. In particular, it can be used for disinfection of diagnostic and surgical instruments. However, it is diluted in a different percentage.

For non-thermal disinfection of medical instruments, endoscopes, thermolabile anesthetic devices, laboratory glassware, it is recommended to use the following ratios:

  • 0% within 60 minutes;
  • 5% ... 30 minutes;
  • 0% … 15 minutes.

When disinfecting heat-labile equipment:

  • 0% for 60 minutes at 40 to 50 degrees.

When cleaning general purpose surfaces (desktops, couches, chairs, other furniture, or waterproof device cases):

  • 25% within 240 minutes;
  • 5% ... 60 minutes;
  • 0% … 15 minutes.

These requirements differ from the standards of use recommended by the manufacturer, however, they were developed by leading sanitary doctors. Therefore, the use in accordance with the above provisions ensures reliable, long-term, legal microbiological purity.

Breeding is carried out in a warm liquid - 40-50 degrees, the concentrate itself should have room temperature (no more than 20 degrees).

How to get the required percentages without calculations

It is assumed that lysoformin will be used for bactericidal treatment of premises or a large number of tools. Therefore, in order to prepare the solution, you need to take 8 liters of water - this is the capacity of a standard bucket. Also, a large volume of liquid will create a minimum discrepancy between the recommended percentage and that obtained.

To create a 1% mixture, you need to add 80 ml of concentrate to this volume. Adding 20 milliliters allows you to dilute 0.25%. Further, by means of simple arithmetic calculations, the required proportion of lysoformin can be obtained.

If you need not 8 liters, but a smaller amount, then you can use other calculations. For 1000 g of water for 2%, 20 milliliters are added, for 500 g - 10 ml, and for 250 g - 5 ml, respectively.

In general, you can get percentages on your own through simple calculations. It is not necessary to observe chemical accuracy (for example, it is most correct to use 980 g of water and 20 g of the product to create one liter of a 2% solution), but it is recommended. Small deviations will not affect performance.

Scope of application

"Lysoformin-3000" is intended for antibiotic cleaning of materials that do not have a hydrophobic coating or are not highly hygroscopic (as well as hydrophilic properties). Thus, it can be used to disinfect floors, walls, furniture upholstery, countertops, instrument and installation cases, laboratory, diagnostic and surgical equipment, lighting systems (with care to avoid electric shock), as well as various equipment.

The substance is a mixture of active antibiotic agents and includes glutaraldehyde, glyoxal and didecyldimethylammonium chloride. This provides a wide area of operation. It is used to prevent the spread of microbiological pathogens of infectious diseases of the nosocomial type, including:

  • Influenza of all existing strains;
  • Classical avian plague, including the highly virulent subspecies H5N1 (“bird flu”, the drug was tested at the State Research Institute of Influenza of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and received a corresponding recommendation);
  • Viruses of almost all types (including pathogens of hepatitis and AIDS);
  • Bacteria (including Koch's bacillus, regardless of strain and spores);
  • Mold.

As a result, it can also be used to clean non-residential premises from mold, fungi that have arisen, and other microorganisms that lead to the occurrence of diseases of the pulmonary apparatus or damage to building materials.

In addition, according to the official instructions, the following use cases are also allowed:

  • Antiseptic cleaning of non-residential rooms, premises, sanitary and hygienic equipment;
  • TLDs for clinical equipment, including endoscopes;
  • Sterilization of dental impressions made of alginates, silicones, polyester resins, ceramic masses, dental impressions made of metal alloys, plastics, articulators made of corrosion-resistant metals.
