Electrostatic filters differ only in size, their round shape makes them easier to use, and their light weight reduces pressure on the patient airway and torsion when the filter is placed on a Y-piece. They are an excellent choice for short-term anesthesia when a heat and moisture exchanger is not needed.
Target:

- protection of the patient from possible infection during prolonged ventilation due to the growth of unicellular organisms in humidifiers
