Plaster medical bandages are used for fixing all types of bone fractures, immobilization in case of diseases of bones and joints, soft tissue injuries, in first aid, fixation during surgical interventions, etc. Designed for use in traumatology, orthopedics, surgery for the treatment of fractures, injuries, diseases of the musculoskeletal system.

Specifications:

  1. Plaster bandages are made of medical gauze, cut into strips and impregnated with high quality gypsum mass;
  2. Hypoallergenic composition;
  3. Production material - viscose and gypsum (CaSO4);
  4. Evenly cut edges of gauze, fixed edge, does not sag;
  5. The plaster bandage is wound on a plastic core, which facilitates its unwinding when applying a bandage;
  6. Good X-ray transmission;
  7. Solidification time: start - 1.5-2 minutes, end - 4-10 minutes;
  8. Density not less than 400 g/ ;

Instructions for use:

  1. The patient should be in a comfortable position for bandaging.
  2. The imposition of a plaster bandage is carried out in accordance with the generally accepted method.
  3. Unpack: open the package, remove the bandage. Hands must be dry when opening the package.
  4. Immersion: The plaster bandage is immersed for 4-5 seconds in water at a temperature of 25-30°C until the bubbles disappear. The water must be clean, this will prevent dirt from getting on the bandage. The bandage must be used immediately after opening the package. While pressing the front of the bandage with one finger, use your little finger to press down on the plastic sleeve.
  5. Push-up: Gently pull the bandage out and squeeze out excess water from the edge to the center. DO NOT twist the bandage or apply excessive force when wringing it out, as this may cause the cast to separate.
  6. Deformation of plaster: plaster bandage after wetting and wringing out must be used immediately, otherwise it will lose plasticity.
  7. Application: Usually the plaster bandage is easy to unwind, do not pull the bandage too hard. When applying plaster, constantly smooth the bandage with your hands: remove bubbles, each layer should be even and completely homogeneous, when the plaster starts to harden, do not iron it.
  8. Hardening time: start - 1.5-2 minutes, end - 4-10 minutes.
  9. After the end of use, dispose of in accordance with established standards.
