Scotchcast™ Plus Rigid Immobilization Bandage consists of a fiberglass backing impregnated with a polyurethane resin that cures on contact with water. When exposed to water or moisture vapor on the bandage, a chemical reaction occurs, leading to the hardening of the material.
Immobilizing dressings made from Scotchcast bandages are lightweight, durable, porous, breathable, waterproof and radiolucent. High level of air permeability and moisture vapor permeability - for 5 layers of material is approximately 1100l/m2/s. The hardening of the polyurethane resin that is part of the bandage occurs at a maximum temperature of 36°C, which ensures safety for the patient (the temperature of the water for wetting the bandage should be 21°C-24°C, which avoids excessive heat generation and thermal damage).

Polyurethane resin contains a substance that allows the bandages not to stick to gloves, which greatly facilitates the application of bandages. To apply an immobilizing bandage from this material, fewer layers are required compared to plaster bandages. For the manufacture of most conventional orthopedic immobilization dressings, as well as for the manufacture of special prostheses and orthopedic devices.
There are various color options for the bandage (blue, light blue, red, yellow, green, pink, purple, neon).
Double packaging - sealed individual - polyethylene + foil, general - cardboard.

Products comply with CE and ISO 9000 standards.
