FLEBOGRIF - a new modern device - a catheter for obliteration (closure) of the great and small saphenous veins in varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency. That is, this is the so-called stem mechanical-chemical obliteration, when two effects are simultaneously applied to the vein affected by varicose veins - mechanical damage to the vein from the inside by the cutting part of the catheter and its sclerosis with the help of a foamed solution of ethoxysclerol.

Set composition:
- straight needle 18G;
- conductor .035″ type J;
- vascular catheter-introducer 6F with a dilator;
- catheter "Flebogrif" 6F;
- three-way faucet;
- syringe, 5 ml (2 pcs).

The catheter complies with European Union (CE) medical standards.

Advantages of this method:

• Two in one - a combination of mechanical and chemical destruction of the BPV or MVP;

• Low frequency of recanalization of the GSV or MPV (no more than 5% within 2 years), which is similar to that after laser or radiofrequency obliteration;

• Ability to close veins with a diameter of more than 8 mm, unlike traditional catheter sclerotherapy;

• Decreased concentration and amount of administered sclerosant;

• Low cost of the procedure;

• High security profile;

• Tumescent anesthesia is not required, that is, the creation of a “hydrocase” around the GSV or SSV;

• Reduced operation time;

• Anesthesia is needed only at the site of the puncture or a small skin incision in the projection of the obliterated vein;

• Even tortuous GSV or SSV can be catheterized;

• No need to purchase "global" and, of course, expensive equipment;

• The procedure is performed under ultrasound control;

• Excellent cosmetic effect with low frequency of skin pigmentation;

• There is no pain after the intervention, the person immediately gets on his feet and goes home in the near future;

• Perfect long-term cosmetic effect.

The most important thing is that there is no thermal effect on the vein and surrounding tissues, that is, there is no thermal injury. Thus, there is no risk of damage to nearby nerves, skin and muscles.

After the procedure, continuous elastic compression is required for the first 24 hours and then daily compression for 3-4 weeks.

This set is produced with a catheter length of 60 or 90 cm. The diameter of the catheter, in both cases, is 6F.
The sclerosant recommended for use is Ethoxysclerol.
