Name and (or) trademark of the manufacturing organization:
Balton Sp. z o. about ., Poland
Application area
Treatment-and-prophylactic establishments ( Surgery ).
Ventral drainage is used for diagnostic, preventive and therapeutic purposes.
Prevents the accumulation of blood and the formation of accumulation of fluid in the abdominal cavity.
Evaluation of the dynamics and intensity of possible bleeding in the postoperative period.
In special cases, it is used as a drainage for washing drained cavities (abdominal cavity).
Mode of application:
1. Accordingly, a drainage tube selected in size and length must be inserted into the abdominal cavity using surgical instruments through a small incision in the skin and underlying tissues. It is recommended to use the technique of placing a drainage tube from one incision to limit the risk of infection of the postoperative wound, and thereby its rapid healing. The incision must be made at the lowest possible point, taking into account the horizontal position of the patient. It is allowed to remove the drainage tube from the abdominal cavity through the wound in the perineum. Do not install the drainage tube in the projection of the location of the large vessels of the abdominal cavity (i.e., the upper and lower epigastric vessels).
2. The end of the drainage tube must be installed in one of the lateral channels of the abdominal cavity, i.e. in the right or left, subdiaphragmatic region, in the region of the stuffing bag and small pelvis. A drainage tube may also be placed at an anastomotic site, or where fluid may accumulate.
