PGA - Polyglycolic Acid, braided, 75 cm long, USP 0, with 35 mm needle, PGA71035

Coated polyglycolide braided thread with an average resorption time.
PHA-absorbable braided synthetic threads based on polyglycolic acid (polyhydroxyacetyl - PHA) with a film coating of absorbable polymer.
The PGA thread is strong, very easy to manipulate, and securely holds the knot. Thanks to the coating, it has a minimal "sawing" effect and capillarity.

Ingredients: polyglycolic (polyhydroxyacetyl - PHA) acid

Colour: dyed (purple) or unpainted

Absorption mechanism: hydrolytic

Tissue reaction: minimal
Resorption time:

- after 14 days (critical period of wound healing) - preservation of up to 50% of strength properties;

- 60-80 days - complete resorption.

Features: In tissues with poor blood supply, resorption may be delayed.

Sterilization: Ethylene Oxide (EO)

Indications:

PGA threads are used to approximate soft tissues and apply ligatures. Recommended for suturing during operations on the urinary and biliary systems.

Contraindications:

PGA threads cannot be used where long-term tissue approximation is required. Not recommended for use in certain areas of cardiovascular and neurosurgery.
