BD Vacutainer® PrecisionGlide™ Multi-Sampling Needle, 22Gx1.5" (0.7x38mm), Sterile

The BD Vacutainer PrecisionGlide Multi Blood Collection Needle is sterile (Class II a) medical device and thus complies with the requirements of the European Medical Devices Directive, 93/42/EEC. All labels placed on the products bear the CE mark, as do the labels on the packaging, which indicates compliance with the above directives.

The product expiration date is based on stability testing data and varies from product to product. The expiration date is indicated on the product label, the expiration date is the last day of the month indicated on the label.

Before launching new products, BD conducts extensive clinical research, the results of which are available upon request.

Product sterilization

All products are sterilized using either gamma irradiation in accordance with ANSI/AAM/ISO 11137-1995 "Sterilization of healthcare products (Requirements for Validation and Standard Control - Radiation Sterilization)" or ethylene oxide (EtO) in accordance with ISO 11135 –1994 "Validation and Standard Control of Ethylene Oxide Sterilization", or by autoclaving in accordance with EN554: 1994 "Sterilization of Medical Devices - Validation and Standard Control of Sterilization by Autoclaving". Microbiological examination is constantly carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of sterilization.

All BD Vacutainer® IVD and other medical devices are sterilized to sterility level 10-6, in accordance with EN 556:1995 - Requirements for sterilized devices to be labeled as sterile.

The thin walls of the needle, coated with silicone, allow free flow of blood and reduce the risk of hemolysis of the sample.
