The BD needle is designed to take a high-quality tissue column for histological examination from internal (including deeply located) organs. The needle is semi-automatic, which greatly facilitates the procedure and improves the quality of the material taken for examination. Used without the use of additional equipment (does not require a gun). A characteristic feature of the needle is the possibility of two different lengths of the tissue column of the biopsy taken, which allows puncturing formations of different sizes. It has two options for a biopsy bed. The first standard is flat and the second is U-shaped to reduce the deformation of the tissue column and increase its volume. In addition, each needle has an ECHO notch and a centimeter marking, which allows you to most accurately localize it in the body. The cutting needle can be removed from the mandrin, which makes it possible, if necessary, to take an aspirate from the cysts, or to carry out repeated punctures in different projections without removing the needle from the patient to reduce the trauma and convenience of the doctor during this procedure.
Methodology:
The needle is removed from the sterile package. With a forward movement, the trigger is cocked to the first click (column length 1.1 cm), or to the second click (column length 1.9 cm). Under the control of ultrasound or “by touch”, the needle is inserted to the object (organ or formation) being studied, the mandrin is inserted into the object by forward movement of the trigger mechanism, after which a spontaneous shot is fired. The needle with the obtained material is removed from the body. To remove the tissue column from the needle, it is necessary to re-cock the trigger mechanism of the needle and gently moving the mandrel forward, preventing the shot, remove the biopsy or twist the cutting needle.
