The Hysterosalpingography catheter allows you to evaluate the shape of the uterine cavity and the patency of the fallopian tubes with minimal discomfort.
This type of catheter has a number of features:
• Double lumen catheter, visible on x-rays,
• The presence of a shut-off valve that regulates the pressure in the cylinder
• Presence of a tip for injection of a contrast agent
• There is a balloon on the catheter that blocks the outflow of contrast agent during the procedure
• Clamp in the drain to block the outflow of contrast material during syringe exchange.
