Composition: catheter made of Teflon-coated fluoropolymer, needle made of durable medical steel
Characteristics:
- has an additional port for bolus administration of drugs during the infusion process
- valve and port plug prevent contact with patient blood
- wings allow secure fixation of the catheter and eliminate the possibility of unauthorized removal
- the catheter has a radiopaque band to provide effective control of the location in the vein
- the minimum distance from the end of the catheter to the cut of the needle and a decrease in the thickness of the catheter wall towards the distal end facilitates vein puncture
- the catheter tightly fits the needle and minimally injures tissue when inserted into a vein
- The transparent blood return chamber provides reliable control of the correct placement of the needle in the vein.
