The catheter is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE Teflon), which is compatible with the biological environment, drugs are thromboresistant due to the smoothness of the wall. Provides thin-walled catheter while maintaining its strength (the catheter does not break, there is no threat of catheter embolism). The catheter has a pointed end that fits snugly to the steel needle, reduces friction during puncture and insertion of the catheter and provides minimal pain when it is advanced into the vein.
The special sharpening of the conductor needle in the form of an angled cut point provides atraumaticity (there is no perforation of the opposite vessel wall during venipuncture) and guarantees the success of the manipulation for medical personnel. The presence of the optimal distance between the catheter and the beginning of the cut of the needle ensures reliable placement of the catheter and the absence of complications.
The injection port is equipped with a valve that allows for an additional injection without interrupting the flow of fluid through the main channel, the valve is made of synthetic material (latex-free technology, no latex allergy). A transparent imaging chamber (reverse current chamber) with a magnifying glass effect provides visual confirmation of a successful puncture.
Elastic wings ensure the stability of the catheter, the correct angle of insertion into the vein and the place of fixation of the catheter on the patient's body.
The product is packed in a plastic blister, which is closed with a Tuvek cap - resistant to damage in a wet and dry place. Marked in accordance with the requirements of the European standard EN 980: 2003 and the National standard of Ukraine DSTU EN 980: 2007.
The manufacturer has a wide range of catheters in stock (14G - 22G), which allows you to choose the cannula individually, taking into account the size of the vein, the required rate of administration, the schedule for IV therapy, the viscosity of the infusate and the age characteristics of the patient.
