Neoflon intravenous catheter (infusion cannula) is specially designed for pediatric, neonatological, gerontological and oncological practice. 24G and 26G catheter made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE Teflon), for puncture of small fragile vessels.
Comprises
- catheter;
- steel needle conductor;
- reverse current chambers;
- Luer-Lok plugs;
- wings for fixation.
- protective cap
Peculiarities
- The catheter is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE Teflon), which:
- compatible with biological media, drugs
- there is thromboresistance due to the smoothness of the wall;
- provides a thin-walled catheter while maintaining its strength (the catheter does not break, no threat of catheter embolism).
- The catheter has a pointed end, fits snugly to the steel needle, which reduces friction during puncture and insertion of the catheter and provides minimal pain when it is advanced into the vein.
- Special sharpening of the conductor needle in the form of an angled cut point provides atraumaticity (there is no perforation of the opposite vessel wall during venipuncture) and guarantees the success of the manipulation for medical personnel.
- The presence of an optimal trim (the distance between the catheter and the beginning of the needle cut) ensures reliable placement of the catheter and the absence of complications (“formation of an accordion” with a short hold or puncture of a vein without a catheter with a long hold).
- There is no injection port, which eliminates the risk of “hydrostatic shock” when injecting fluid and there is no mechanical trauma to the vein
- A transparent imaging chamber (reverse current chamber) with a magnifying glass effect provides visual confirmation of a successful puncture.
- Elastic catheter wings:
- fixed with a removable holder, which provides a comfortable grip of the catheter, facilitating its introduction into the vein;
- ensure the stability of the catheter, the correct angle of insertion into the vein and the place of fixation of the catheter on the patient's body.
- The product is made using latex-free technology, safe, hypoallergenic.
- The product is packed in a plastic blister, which:
- closes with a Tuvek lid - resistant to damage in a wet and dry place;
- marked in accordance with the requirements of the European standard
- Catheter sizes - 24G and 26G - are specially designed for use in pediatric, neonatological, gerontological, oncological practice or for puncture of small fragile vessels.
- The recommended stay in the vein is up to 72 hours.
