A two-component syringe "Medicare" consists of three parts: a cylinder and a plunger (piston pusher).
Medicare syringes with a standard volume of 10 ml with a Luer connection are used in all areas of medicine for subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous and other injections.
Syringes are characterized by a smooth and gentle stroke of the piston, so they are preferred in those branches of medicine where slow intravenous administration of drugs is necessary (anesthesiology, intensive care, ambulance service, emergency medicine, disaster medicine).
