The peculiarity of the Fource Point is that the design uses a spring mechanism to provide the necessary resistance when the knee is sharply extended. The mechanism acts as a retarder in the last 25 °; during extension. The hinge has three levels of support with the ability to disable it if necessary. As standard, the joint is already equipped with an extension resistance of 10°.
