What is a muleton?
A muleton is a fabric consisting of two parts: the top layer of fabric can be anything (terry, double jersey, fleece, flannel, quilted surface), the bottom layer of fabric is a waterproof membrane. A prerequisite for a high-quality muleton is that the material does not allow moisture to pass through, but allows air to pass through, i.e. the fabric “breathes.”
