The Boxia brace is a cuff that is fixed in the lower third of the leg and a fixing elastic element for the midfoot. This design provides the user with maximum comfort. Users are also given the opportunity to use the orthosis at home (without shoes), for this the manufacturer offers a cuff for the middle section of the foot AB-12, to which an elastic supporting element is attached.
The Boxia orthosis in this design is an effective solution as part of complex conservative therapy for a “falling foot” of any etiology and helps to prevent contracture of the plantar flexors. This design of the orthosis allows it to be used primarily in patients where skin contact should be minimized, for example, in the presence of edema, circulation disorders or sensory disorders. The main function of the Boxia orthosis is to additionally dorsiflex the foot at the time of its transfer, and also stabilize the position of the foot in the medial and lateral direction. Thus, the orthosis ensures the correct gait.
