Glisson loop - designed for dosed non-traumatic traction of the cervical spine with the help of a load. This is an effective method of treating the cervical spine, the loop is successfully used for various diseases of the cervical spine:
- osteochondrosis in various stages,
- to reduce disk pressure,
- to relax the deep muscles of the neck,
- for traction (traction) of the cervical region,
- with dislocation, subluxation in the joints of diseased cervical vertebrae, which can be set,
- with intervertebral hernias of the cervical region,
Mode of application:
Before traction (traction), the Glisson loop is attached to the patient's head with straps and secured with clasps. Loop straps wrap around the head evenly on the right, left, chin and form a common strap at the top of the head.
A fastening cord is threaded into the rings, which is attached to the fulcrum (doorway, etc.) through a block (block) (load-lifting roller - chain hoist).
When hanging different loads, you can create the necessary traction force of the cervical spine. For this purpose, various loads are used - weights, and you can also use a plastic bottle filled with the amount of water required by weight.
With moderate traction in each spinal motion segment, the muscles and ligaments gradually relax and increase; and the vertebrae of the cervical spine diverge from each other.
Also, at the moment of divergence of the vertebral bodies, the intervertebral roots of the nerve endings are released, which has a positive effect on pain in the cervical region.
In addition, after the application of the loop, the vertebral arteries are released and more blood begins to flow to the head.
Contraindications:
- Vertebral fractures of any part of the spine;
- Narrowing of the spinal canal;
- Listez (displacement of the vertebral bodies relative to each other);
- Osteoporosis (output of calcium salts from the bone structure) 3-4 stages;
- Self application.
