The mattress fabric is made in the form of sections, which provides a deeper massage of soft tissues, and the presence of a static function will make it possible to temporarily stop the operation of the mattress for the patient to rest or to carry out the necessary procedures. An anti-decubitus mattress is an effective tool in the fight against skin lesions, as well as in facilitating rehabilitation during prolonged bed rest.
The mattress is designed in such a way that the compressor pumps the sheet through the section, constant air circulation gives the feeling of a massage, which allows you to replace the constant turning over of the patient. The static function stops the air circulation, leaving the canvas in a fully inflated state, this makes it possible to leave a person motionless for the required time. The length of the connecting tubes is approximately 1.5 m; this length will make it possible to place the compressor far enough from the bed if necessary. The presence of a valve will keep the mattress sheet in working condition until the power comes on and will reduce the interruption without massage.
The high-quality coating of the canvas does not absorb liquids; for cleaning, you can use a soap solution or gentle cleaning and disinfectants. Due to the fact that all electrical contacts are located far from the fabric, the ingress of liquids onto the mattress fabric poses absolutely no threat to life or health.
ATTENTION! Avoid contact of the mattress fabric with piercing and cutting objects, exclude pets from being on the mattress, this can damage the sections, which will lead to malfunction or impossibility of use. An anti-bedsore mattress should be used on top of a regular mattress or any soft padding.
The universal size of the mattress is designed to be placed on a medical bed or a single household bed.
A hole for a sanitary device will make it easier to care for the patient; the mattress is designed for use with beds that have a built-in toilet. The hole is closed by a separate segment, which is connected to the common web by a connecting tube; it is inflated all the time and is in static mode. The presence of a hole does not affect the effectiveness of the mattress if it is used on a regular bed or on a medical bed but without a sanitary device.
The presence of a moving part of the mattress will not limit the possibilities of a functional bed. The massage can continue in the “cardio chair” position, without the risk of squeezing the mattress sections.
To start using the anti-decubitus mattress, follow the following instructions:
- remove the product from the box, remove the protective packaging, check the contents and any visible damage;
- lay out the mattress fabric on a flat surface or bed so that the connecting tubes are in the foot section;
- cover the mattress with a sheet;
- place the compressor in a place convenient for use;
- connect the blade and the compressor using tubes, check that the tubes are not crushed or twisted;
- connect the compressor to the network and let the mattress be completely filled with air, after which you can select the degree of elasticity according to the person’s weight;
- Using the “Static” or “Massage” button, select the desired operating mode.
- The mattress is ready to use!
Using the mattress when there is no electricity :
- if you know in advance when the power will be turned off, you should switch the mattress to static mode;
- after waiting until the canvas is full, you need to disconnect the stopper and close the valve;
- if the power was turned off unexpectedly and you did not have time to prepare, but want to keep the mattress inflated in the last position, you need to do the same, switch the compressor to static mode, disconnect the stopper and close the plug;
- in the event of a sudden power outage, the mattress will remain in the state of filling the sections at the time of the shutdown, that is, if some of the sections are filled, the rest will not be filled.
IMPORTANT! In the absence of electricity , but with timely closure and plugs, the mattress retains air for a short time. The mattress will deflate if you do not disconnect the stopper and close the cap.
